Walk 2.Breamish Valley. 8 km (5 miles), 230 metres (760feet) of ascent; 3.5hours duration. Meet
at Ingram Car Park.
This walk starts from the car park at Ingram on the delightful River Breamish. Since Ingram is neither close to Wooler nor to Rothbury you may join the walk at Ingram. Strenuous Walks
Walk 3. Northern Cheviots. 13 km (8 miles); 450m (1 500 feet) of ascent; 5 hours duration. Meet
at Wooler Car Park or at the start of the walk
We commence the walk with the steep ascent of an Iron Age hillfort which gives its name to a battle between the Scots and English Armies in 1402. From the top there are splendid views over Wooler to the coast and northwards over the River Glen and River Till valleys.
